Will coaching undermine my interventions and advice?

Coaching is not about giving medical advice. As a firm believer in evidence based medicine, I encourage my coaching clients to evaluate the evidence for treatments they wish to pursue, and to discuss them with their Doctor. I advise them to take a proactive and collaborative role in managing their health. I discourage unproven quackery, although as you know, some patients will do it anyway.

Is counselling or coaching more suitable?

This needs to be determined on a case by case basis.
Counselling is more suitable for patients with:
  • Moderate to severe psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression.
  • Issues related to abuse.
Coaching is more suited to patients who are:
  • Motivated but frustrated by lack of success.
  • Resistant to the concept of counselling.
  • Stuck in a rut.
  • Disorganised or unfocused.

Yes! I am committed to helping the poor and disadvantaged to rise above their circumstances. Thats why I offer packages ranging from $30 per month to my full market rate of $300 per month. I also offer a free trial session so people can see if coaching is for them. You are welcome to try the free trial so you can get a feel for how coaching works, and to refer your patients with confidence. All services are offered with a no-hassle money back guarantee.

How could coaching help me?

You may have noticed that coaching can help with many of the issues that Medical and Health Practitioners face. Time pressure, stress and work/life balance are huge issues for professionals such as Doctors, Lawyers, Allied Health and Financial Advisors. Most professionals I talk to in this situation cannot see a way out. Sadly most are unwilling to even try to make the shift required. If you'd like to try thinking outside the square, why not call and see if you can keep what you love about your work and lose some of the pain and stress.
